02 — What’s inside the work

Four Verbs, Spelled Out

The words on a podcast invoice mean different things to different people. Here is what they mean in this room.

ums thinned, not erased →

Edit

Dead air tightened, stumbles removed, retakes spliced on a breath rather than a word. Every cut gets room tone under it so the seam doesn’t show.

Mix

Voices matched to each other, noise floor lowered, music ducked under speech and brought back up in the gaps. Narrative work adds scene-level sound design.

Master

−16 LUFS stereo (−19 mono), true peak under −1 dB. It plays at the same level as everything else on the phone.

Publish

Audio, artwork, chapters and show notes uploaded to your host, then checked in a real podcast app before we call it done. Stems and project files come back to you after.

03 — Fit

Who This Suits, and Who It Doesn’t

Good fit

Send us the tape if

  • You host an interview or narrative show and would rather not touch a timeline.
  • You’re a founder, nonprofit or indie publisher releasing on a steady schedule.
  • You want the host’s voice kept, breaths included.
  • You’d like one invoice per season instead of a monthly retainer.
Not a fit

Look elsewhere if

  • You need live-event or broadcast radio production.
  • You want a heavily scripted ad read with a voice actor cast.
  • You need a finished episode in under three working days on a full edit.
  • You want every cough and “um” taken out. We thin them, not erase them.

One raw file is enough to start.

04 — About the invoice

Questions About Price

Why is the batch cheaper per episode?

Four episodes in one pass means one setup, one set of voice matching and one round of publishing. $640 for four works out to $160 each against $185 for a single.

What does a second round of notes cost?

$30 per episode. The first round is already in the price.

When is the invoice sent, and how is it paid?

After hand-off, due net 14. ACH, card or check. There is no retainer and no deposit on single episodes and batches.

How do you price a narrative season?

From $3,260 for up to ten episodes. The final figure depends on music, sound design and scene count, and we quote it in writing after hearing a sample.

Do you work from other cities?

Yes. The studio is in Sugar Land, but files arrive by shared folder or upload link, and most clients never visit.

When you’re ready, the phone is on the desk.
